James L. Sedore, Jr., CPA
Jim Sedore has worked as a partner in Dutchess County public accounting firms for over 30 years. He co-founded Sedore & Company - as Sedore & O'Sullivan - in 1982, and the firm has since grown to include five partners and two locations that serve Dutchess, Putnam, Orange and Ulster Counties.
Sedore has always stressed the importance of community involvement. His posts have included board chairman of both the Wappingers Falls Chamber of Commerce as well as the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber (after the two merged) and he currently sits on the board of Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He is also a member of numerous local business associations as well as the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation.
In 1994, Governor Cuomo, and in 1998 Governor Pataki appointed Sedore to the Board of the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Most recently in 2005, he was named chair of the MTA's oversight committee for the Metro-North Railroad. Sedore is a graduate of Siena College. He resides in Fishkill with his wife Diane.
Mark O'Sullivan, CPA
Mark O'Sullivan co-founded Sedore & Company in 1982. He specializes in municipal consulting, tax and accounting consulting and is currently the firm's managing partner.
O'Sullivan has been a certified public accountant since 1977, and he is currently a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York Society of CPAs.
O'Sullivan has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1980, serving as Grand Knight in 1984-85, and a member of Rotary since 1983, serving as president in 1995-96. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Northern Dutchess Hospital. Further, O'Sullivan is very active in his church. He has served as a youth leader, religious education instructor, sits on the parish council and the finance committee, and served as a parish trustee. Ordained as a Deacon in June 2002, he is assigned to Regina Coeli Parish in Hyde Park.
A native of West Islip, New York, O'Sullivan graduated from Siena College. He currently resides with his wife Sue in Hyde Park. They are the parents of five daughters, and grandparents to four granddaughters.
 James F. Letterio Jr., CPA
Jim Letterio merged his private practice with Sedore & Company in 1987. He specializes in accounting, auditing and tax, and consulting for municipal and not-for-profit clients. Letterio also leads Sedore's business valuation team.
A graduate of Fordham University, Letterio began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick, CPAs, in New York City, were he worked for 6 years, earning his certificate as a CPA and rising to Senior Accountant. Since returning to the Hudson Valley, he has served the boards of a number of local not-for-profits, and as president of the Southern Dutchess Exchange Club, the Beacon Business Association and the St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital Foundation. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York Society of CPAs, the Mid-Hudson Chapter of CPAs, and the Government Finance Officers Association.
Letterio resides in his hometown of Beacon, New York, with his wife Patricia and their daughters Annie and Emily.
 Linda M. Hannigan, CPA
Linda Hannigan joined Sedore & Company as an audit manager in 1993, and became a partner in 2000. A certified public accountant since 1986, she specializes in audits of not-for-profit organizations and municipalities.
Hannigan currently serves as treasurer for the Dutchess County Workforce Investment Board, and she is also on the boards of the Bon Secours Community Hospital Foundation and the Make A Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley. She is a member of the Orange County Citizens Foundation and a former trustee and treasurer of the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society. Her professional memberships include the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs, the Government Finance Officers Association and the AICPA Governmental/Not-for-Profit Accounting & Auditing Certificate of Achievement.
A magna cum laude graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College, Hannigan resides in Orange County with her husband Robert Schultz.
Karen T. Hansen, CPA
Karen Hansen merged her firm, Hansen & Arnold, with Sedore & Company in 2001. She brings over 20 years of tax, audit, and professional financial experience as a practicing certified public accountant.
Hansen currently serves as a member of the boards of directors of Civic Properties, Inc., the Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce, the Dutchess Ulster Division of the American Heart Association, and the Poughkeepsie Institute. She is a former chair of the board for the Poughkeepsie Chamber, and was a member of the Executive Committee of the United Way of Dutchess County. Past board memberships include the Dutchess County Girl Scouts, YMCA of Dutchess County, the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Inc., the Dutchess County Arts Fund, and Poughkeepsie Partnership. She currently serves on the finance committee of St. Martin de Porres Church.
A member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Associate of CPAs, Hansen was also selected for the 52nd edition of Who's Who in America, as well as for recent editions of Who's Who in Finance & Industry and Who's Who in American Women. Hansen resides in the City of Poughkeepsie with her husband Chip Simon and daughter Emma.
 Jeffrey L. Brown, CPA
Jeffrey Brown joined Sedore & Company in 2003 as an Audit Manager and became a partner in 2007. His dedication to his clients and his outstanding mentoring ability to his team has led Jeff to become a Partner in the firm just 4 short years after he was hired. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff worked for Beard Miller Company, LLP a ‘Top 40’ regional CPA firm in Pennsylvania where he quickly advanced to the position of senior accountant performing audits, reviews and compilations on construction, not-for-profit, and municipal engagements. Jeff has extensive experience with a diverse background of accounting and consulting and specializes in audits in the municipal and not-for-profit sector. Jeff is also a member of Sedore & Company’s staff recruitment committee.
Jeff is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2000, and earned his Certificate as a Certified Public Accountant in 2002.
Jeff is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of CPA's and the Mid-Hudson Chapter of CPA's. Jeff is an active member of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and graduated from Leadership Orange in 2006. He has served as the Treasurer of the York Little Theater in York, Pennsylvania and currently serves as an Elder at the Goodwill Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, New York.
Jeff uses his expertise in governmental accounting to make presentations at seminars through the GFOA (Government Finance Officer’s Association) on topics including complex accounting issues and strengthening internal controls.
Jeff resides in Orange County with his wife, Gretchen, and their daughter, Ellie.
Charles Rae began his career with Price Waterhouse & Co and later entered the academic world as an Accounting Professor at St. Bonaventure University and Siena College. Simultaneously he began practicing as a sole practitioner.
Founder of Rae & Co, Charlie has been practicing as a certified public accountant and serving the Hudson Valley for over 35 years. Charlie’s expertise includes all areas of tax, auditing and small business consultation. In 2008, Charlie decided to merge Rae & Co with Sedore & Company.
Charlie has served on the accounting advisory committee at Dutchess Community College, is a member of the Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce and serves on the finance committee of St. Mary’s Church in Fishkill, NY. He has also served as treasurer and is past president of the Fishkill Library Association.
A member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs, he was also elected to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Charlie resides in Fishkill, New York with his wife Susan and they are the parents of three adult children.
