Poughkeepsie, NY-May 10, 2010—Sedore, Hudson Valley CPA accountants Brian S. Montross and C.J. Rioux have received their Certified Public Accounting licenses.
Montross joined Sedore as an intern in May 2007 and became a full time staff accountant in January of 2008 and serves the firm’s municipal and non-profit clients. He also provides consulting services to several of the firm’s municipal clients.
Montross graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In addition to his academic work he also participated in the Internal Revenue Services Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Program, which provides free income tax preparation assistance to low-income, elderly, disabled and limited English speaking people.
Montross resides in Pleasant Valley with his wife and two children.
Rioux joined Sedore as an intern in January 2008 and became a full-time staff accountant in 2009 where he specializes in serving Sedore’s municipal and non-profit clients.
Rioux graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA with a concentration in Public Accounting. He received the President’s Award for “Outstanding graduates” and was a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. Rioux also volunteered for VITA/TCE (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Tax Counseling for the Elderly).
Rioux resides in Kingston.
